Delete your Muld account
Last updated: 24 May 2026
You can request deletion of your Muld account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains exactly how, what gets deleted, what is retained, and for how long.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to hello@muld.dev from the email address linked to your Muld account.
- Use the subject line "Account deletion request".
- We will confirm receipt within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days, in line with GDPR Article 17.
What gets deleted
- Your email address and authentication record in Supabase Auth.
- Your RevenueCat customer record (subscription history pseudonymised).
Your finds, photos and GPS tracks are stored only on your device — we hold no copy, so there is nothing on our servers to delete (see below).
What is retained, and for how long
- Local data on your device (find journal entries, GPS session tracks, notes) is stored only on your device and is never uploaded. To delete it, uninstall the Muld app — there is no server-side copy for us to delete.
- Payment transaction records held by Google Play and our payment processor (RevenueCat) may be retained for up to 7 years to satisfy tax and accounting law (Danish bookkeeping act, equivalent EU rules). These records are pseudonymised and cannot be used to re-identify you after account deletion.
- Aggregated, non-personal usage statistics (if any are collected in future) are retained indefinitely because they cannot be linked back to you.
If you only want to delete some data
You can also email hello@muld.dev to request partial deletion of the data we hold — for example, removing your launch-notify email while keeping your app account. (Your finds, photos and tracks live only on your device — delete those in-app or by uninstalling.) State clearly which data you want removed.
